Choices For The Room- Challenged: Space Saver Treadmill Models

Visitors: 281

If extra room in your home is a problem, adding specialized equipment to your workout routine doesn’t have to be out of the question with space saver treadmill models. Although you’re unlikely to find a magic spell to transform your bulky treadmill into a doll-sized version for storage, there are plenty of space saver models on the market that make storage options more viable.

Most major treadmill manufacturers offer space saver treadmill models in their lines, so quality and choice don’t need to be overlooked to make sure you have room for the equipment. The costs range from the $100 mark for manual machines that fold to well into the $1,000-plus range for electronic models that allow for easier storage. Makers such as Smooth and Nordictrack provide many models that fold for easier storage.

When looking to buy one of the many space saving treadmill models on the market, this particular option definitely doesn’t mean quality and durability have to go out the window. Top notch machines, such as Smooth’s 5.0 offer a folding option and superior quality to boot. This model still comes with a 2.5 horsepower continuous motor. It offers speeds of 0.6 to 10 miles per hour, 12 percent elevation, push-button electronics, a cushioned deck, 3 pre-set programs, 6 user programs and more. In addition, this machine comes with a 10-year motor warranty, a lifetime frame warranty and offers a 275-pound user capacity. This best folding treadmill model costs about $1,000.

Nordictrack offers quite a few space saver models for its customers. The company’s registered SpaceSaver design is offered on at least eight of its different models, opening up an array of options for customers who need folding technology as a must. SpaceSaver allows storage when the spring-loaded deck is raised and locks into place. Wheels are built into the base to allow for easy movement into a closet or storage area. Once you’re ready to use one of these treadmills again, all you need to do is tilt down the deck, and the machine is good to go.

If space saver treadmill features are a must have on your list of traits for an ideal machine, you have plenty of models to choose from. Most major manufacturers have added folding technology to their machines to assist customers who need to conserve space when their treadmill isn’t in use. Variety is not limited when this feature is a must.
