So, Do Boys Make Passes At Girls Who Wear Glasses??

Visitors: 232

Times are changing, and it makes you wonder about some of our most cherished and socially accepted phrases. For instance, what do you think? Do boys make passes at girls who wear glasses?

The world is surely changing. Can the same be said about famous, classic sayings? They used to say: ‘boys don’t make passes at girls who wear glasses'! However, then again, prescription eyeglasses used to be considered the epitome of geekdom. Truthfully, the saying could have been generalized to both genders, and not directed only towards women. Either way, the words are harsh!

Well, let’s face it: things are changing, drastically! In the past five years glasses have not only made a comeback, they’ve truly started making a name for themselves! The thing is that you don’t have to fit into one particular style in order to be accepted with your eyeglasses either; the trends are only growing and expanding! Let’s discuss this change, and make a decision of whether or not boys now make passes, at girls who wear glasses!

The number one perception about wearing eyeglasses that remains true to this day is the thought that you can generally look ‘smarter’ or ‘more intellectual’ displaying some classic specs! This has slowly gone from a bad misconception to a good misconception. (i. e. It’s still not necessarily a true stereotype, but at least now, instead of negatively judging those who wear the instant smart-frames, we admire them for their ‘obvious’ intelligence!) Therefore, due to this social change, classic rectangular frames started to become more popular. More men and women started wearing their rimless, or fully framed, smart and fashionable eyeglasses. Soon enough, all of the old classic styles became acceptable - to the point in which vintage eyewear is now the desired look! Now you can spot more people wearing glasses, than not! The styles out there range from daring, bold and bright colors, and are generally part of the vintage collections. Wayfarer shaped frames became the biggest selling style, while the round specs of the John Lennon days aren’t too far behind! Truly though, it doesn’t really matter what style you wear, eyeglasses are the biggest accessory available today!

If you’re looking for some new glasses - to help your chances of picking up the fellas - try searching no further than the comfort of your own home. The secret is out, and you should hear it! Buying eye glasses online can save you dough! Due to the lack of overhead, online optical companies are able to charge far less for eyewear - especially compared to the outrageous prices expected when buying locally. You might worry about a lack of quality control, however, due to the low prices, returning customers is one of the biggest assets of online companies. Therefore, when you order glasses over the net you will get the exact same product, only with a cheaper price tag! Let’s face it, how are you going to build your stash of eyeglasses as your favorite fashion accessory if they’re all overpriced? You’ll want to start expanding your collection, ladies, because boys in fact DO make passes at girls who wear glasses!
