Manic Panic was created by two sisters named Tish and Snooky on July 7, 1977. Tish and Snooky were party of the original Blondie lineup and they created Manic Panic to add some flair to the 70's punk scene. The originally took some of their clothing designs and borrowed $500 from their mom to open Manic Panic, America's first punk-style boutique, on St. Mark's Place. Since they opened their boutique they have developed one of the most widely used hair color and cosmetic lines on the market. They introduced hair dyes in practically every color and they also developed matching lip, nail, and eye cosmetics. Manic Panic hair dye became increasingly popular during the late 80's.

Manic Panic became even more sought after in the 90's and was seen on high fashion models and celebrities. It was even featured in magazines, TV shows, and films. The small shop had to be swapped for a huge warehouse and soon after, Manic Panic started being distributed internationally. Tish and Snooky still manage the company and perform in their new band Sic F*cks. Tish and Snooky recently opened Manic Panic West in Venice Beach which is similar to the original Manic Panic boutique of the 70's.

Manic Panic currently carries hair color, wigs, nail polish, accessories, makeup, hair accessories, and fragrances. The hair color comes in a classic cream formula and an amplified cream formula which are both available in a huge variety of colors. Manic Panic bleaching kits can be used prior to the cream colors to get the deepest, brightest colors. Manic Panic temporary gel can create a short term change in color and wigs and glam strips can be used to create a pop of color over and over again without having to commit to a bold shade. The Manic Panic Claw Colors Nail Polish comes in shades that coordinate with their intense hair colors. The Manic Panic Nail Paw-lish comes in shades that specifically go with the Emily the Strange collection of hair and hair colors. The accessories collection is filled with punk-inspired t-shirts, earrings, bags, and boas which can all add an awesome touch to bright, fun hair.

The makeup line contains an assortment of different cosmetics. Their pressed powder can create an intense gothic look and their foundations and bronzers offer great coverage. Manic Panic also carries intense eye shadows, eyeliners, lipsticks, and mascaras. They even carry “guyliner" which is specifically made for men who want to add a little punk rock flair. Their fragrances come in fun, flirty containers that can be easily applied with the bottle's roller-ball applicator. The Snooky fragrance has an exotic, floral blend and the Tish fragrance has a somewhat fruity scent. They both come in cute packages with a glitter covered rose. They are perfect for gifts and their scents are super diverse.

The Manic Panic brand is also filled with fun glitters and powders that leave you looking shimmery and fun. They even carry unique crystals which can be applied to the body or face. They also carry gifts like zipper bags, light switch plates, and coasters that are embellished with the Manic Panic logo. Manic Panic carries practically everything necessary for a fun punk rock look. See our full selection of Manic Panic .
