Here is a step by step procedure for putting on makeup properly.

First of all, you need to start with a clean face before putting makeup. Cleanse your entire facial area with a good cleanser and put on a good moisturizer and sunscreen afterwards. Then, you can start by putting a makeup base to prime your face for the makeup.

If you have pimples or dark circles to cover up, put on concealer right before starting with your foundation. Your concealer should be slightly lighter than your foundation.

Note that the most important part of a great look is putting on the most compatible shade of foundation that matches your skin tone very closely.

Simply putting on foundation can immensely improve your look. It has the power to level your skin color and make any form of imperfections more subtle. Remember to blend your foundation very well at the jawline to prevent that artificial looking division.

Put on a some translucent powder over your foundation to set your foundation. Your trusty powder can also help you maintain a fresh-looking face even towards the day's end.

After your face, your next concentration should be on your eyes. Start by filling in your eyebrows with a good eyeliner brush to create a perfect arch.

Then, put on some eye shadow that coordinates with your eye color and your skin color then blend the colors well.

Line your lower lids thinly starting from the outermost inwards. Do not forget to curl your eye lashes and put on a thickening mascara.

Next put on a natural colored cheek color onto your cheek apples. The best cheek tint is the one that closely resembles your how your cheek looks like after a long exercise.

Protect your lips first with your reliable lip balm. With a lipliner, line your lips starting from the outer corner of the lower lip inwards.

Then, put on a good colored lipstick or lip gloss that coordinates well with the rest of your makeup. With a good lip brush or your fingers to blend your lip liner with the lip gloss or lipstick color. Blot your lips by clamping lightly with soft tissue.

Lastly, under natural light, look into the mirror to see if everything blends well.
