What is Anxiety Depression? And what are Its Different Types?

People nowadays suffer from anxiety depression apart from simple depression. Now you may ask what the difference is between usual depression and anxiety depression.

Anxiety depression is considered as the multifaceted form of combination of certain negative and unenthusiastic emotions which includes worry, fright, anxiety, nervousness etc. It is found to have been associated with certain physical sensations like nausea, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, palpitation etc.

Anxiety depression affects both the physical and the psychological aspects of the human generation. Thus to overcome the anxiety depression, it is always considered necessary to reduce the amount of tension which results in the creation of it. When it comes to effectively curing one's self from a mental illness, one must keep in mind that you have to be actually honest with yourself and assess what kind of depression or mental illness you actually have

Depression comes in many different forms and varieties. It is important to get diagnosed properly as well as be able to get the right depression treatment for yourself. Here are the various types of depression:

Major Depression: Major depression, or clinical depression, is the most common type of depression. It’s also considered one of the most serious types of depression. It’s characterized by extreme sadness, guilt, hopelessness and helplessness. Fatigue, sleep disorders, appetite changes, and loss of interest in daily activities are also common signs of major depression.

Dysthymic Disorder: As one of the two chief forms of clinical depression, it usually has fewer or less serious symptoms than major depression but lasts longer. Generally, this type of depression is described as having persistent but less severe depressive symptoms than Major Depression.

Bipolar Depression: characterized by sudden and drastic changes in one's mood wherein one minute the person is in an elevated state of euphoria while the next minute (day or week) he or she is feeling to be in an emotional hell. he roller coaster of ups and downs is caused by an imbalance in the sufferer’s brain chemistry.

Cyclothymic Disorder: Cyclothymic disorder is a mild form of depression that is similar to bipolar disorder, with less frequency and severity. It is characterized by a slight similarity with Manic or Bipolar depression wherein the individual suffering from this mental illness may occasionally suffer from severe changes in one's moods. Often, a person with cyclothymic disorder may later develop bipolar disorder if their condition is left untreated.

Postpartum Depression: Postpartum depression is a form of major depression that occurs in new mothers immediately after the birth of a baby. It is characterized by a prolonged sadness and a feeling of emptiness by a new mother. According to a study, about 10% of new mothers suffer from this condition.

Atypical Depression: Atypical depression occurs most frequently in women. It is a type of depression that overwhelms an individual almost to the point of emotional paralysis. Common symptoms include oversleeping, low self-esteem, overeating, and a hypersensitivity to rejection.
