Do anti aging skin care reviews really help you when making an informed decision of which anti aging product you should buy?
There are hundreds of sites, 10,500 pages that cover this topic alone in a Google direct search. Reviews do have their limitations as they can only reflect the experiences of the person who has tried the anti aging skin care system from a particular manufacturer and as there are so many different types of products available the chances are that only a few of the products will be mentioned. Other reviews may also give you a completely different list of products so you can never get the full picture. However these sites do have the added bonus of introducing you to new products that you have never heard of before and that really appeal to you.
It is true that the anti aging skin care market is like a mine field to navigate through but what type of anti aging skin care treatment works? Do you need one bottle or multiple bottles to achieve your desired results?
There seems to be so many products available within this multi billion dollar industry, and that is not surprising when you look at the cost of some of the treatments on offer, anything from nearly $200 dollars to $5 a time.
But do these products work as well as they claim? And the other question we need to ask ourselves, that is of equal importance is, our these products safe to use?
Many products that are available in the anti aging skin care market are made of synthetic ingredients thought up in a laboratory. The reason for this is quite obvious the cost for the manufacturer is low and the financial return is high.
Some of the claims made about these products are that they contain ingredients such as collagen, which has been put in the cream to replace the collagen that you naturally lose as your skin ages. This claim is blatantly false as the molecules in collagen, which sources are from animals and birds, are too large to be able to penetrate through the epidermis. It physically cannot happen.
So why you are busy paying $150, for what you think is a really good product that will increase the elasticity in your skin, to reduce your wrinkles you will end up somewhat disappointed as it will not happen quite that way. All it will do is sit on the top of your stratum corneum until you wash it off. These products are only going to encourage you to keep shelling out $150 a time for an impossible result.
Another claim often made by product manufacturers for marketing purposes is that their product contains ascorbic acid (Vit C, a well known anti oxidant). Ascorbic acid might be wonderful for raising your bread or eaten as an orange but it will not work in a topical application. Some researchers believe Vitamin C actually produces a dangerous free-radical, hydroxyl which when it comes in contact with the iron in your skin causes redness and irritation.
So the question has to be are there products that do not make outrageous claims but that work?
You will be pleased by the answer to this one. Yes there are some manufacturers who do provide really safe, extremely effective products that use natural ingredients that are able to penetrate through the skin and that offer similar benefits with price tags ranging from $35 to around $200.
This places quality products that others recommend within the reach of most of us.
So an anti aging skin care review can be useful if it introduces you to new a anti aging skin care system that is just right for you.
