Getting rid acne is probably at the forefront of every teenagers mind and anyone else who is suffering from acne. Acne is a very common skin complaint amongst a variety of people, not just teenagers, so it no wonder that acne treatments are highly sought after.
But one thing that is a dead cert, is that people who go on to buy such acne products are expecting some kind of cure or miracle to take place. But sadly the reality is far different. The products that are available for treating acne are well, just that, they are products for treating acne, and not a cure and certainly not a miracle.
This thought process of wanting a quick fix, is within society. Times have certainly become more hasty, and if people want something done they want it done the same day, or within the same week. But treating acne is not the same as ordering a replacement mobile phone, there are a bit more complications involved.
Approximately ninety five percent of teenagers will develop acne at some point, and many even continue with having acne into their teenage years. For many they are lucky that it is gone within a few months to a few years, but during that time it can have a real negative impact on the self esteem of a person. The market place for acne treatments is truly huge. It is worth billions of dollars each and every year without fail.
There are countless numbers of treatments for acne that will make the same bold claims and that no other treatments are as effective as theirs. They are often advertised as the fast one quick fix that will get rid of acne within a matter of days. All the usual false promises, only for disappointment to be the end result.
Many millions are spent advertising these so called miracle cures and many companies even have celebrity endorsements, but those celebrities have never really actually used the products themselves. It is all just a big con.
But despite of all this, scientists are still unaware of the real reasons behind acne development and why some people have mild cases and others more severe cases. Generally the theory is due to hormonal changes, but not everyone has hormonal changes, but still has acne on the skin? Perhaps there is something going on within the body that is quite not right.
Treating acne can only be treated by the products available, but no product can claim to be able to cure acne. Internal factors are at play, and a sensible diet is what is needed to restore any imbalances internally. Only the body itself can decide when it is time to stop, and all that can be done in the mean time is to continue to treat acne in the best way and most natural way possible.
So can it be said that a cure for acne does not actually exist? Well this might be harsh, but all that can be said, is that there are effective acne and spots treatments , you just need to find the treatments that are right for you, because what works for one person will not always work for another.
