Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) or median neuropathy is a painful disorder at the wrist and hand. It happens when the median nerve is compressed at the wrist, resulting pain, paresthesias and muscle weakness in the forearm and hand. The carpal tunnel is a fine tunnel structured by bones and other tissues that protects the median nerve. The median nerve is stressed and pressed again when ligaments and tendons get swollen and inflamed.
CTS is more common in women especially at the age of 42 and most causes remain unknown. Repetitive motions of the hands or wrists over long period of time can be the main cause for developing CTS. Medical conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and thyroid gland imbalance can contribute to the pain too. CTS has many-sided problems and this make it difficult to be treated.
Despite the challenges in full recovery, there are many possibly treatment as such immobilizing brace, osteopathy, physiotherapy, chiropractic, and medication and massage therapy. One of the many ways is to relief from wrist pain, hand numbness and finger tickly. This tactic is known as The Carpal Solution (TCS). TCS is worn during sleep to gently stretch and reshape soft tissue in Carpal Tunnel to reduce and eventually eliminates the pain and numbness. It gently pulls at three key points on the palm surrounding Carpal Tunnel concurrently during sleep. Application for 6 to 8 hours while the hand is relaxed will help in relieving the pain as the pressure on the median nerve will gradually diminish.
