Facts About Cellulite

It's summer and you're ready to try out that new swim suit you bought. It seemed liked ages since you purchased it and now the long wait is over. It's the perfect time to show off your sexy curves at the beach.

As you stand in front of the mirror with your new outfit, however, reality sets in and bursts your bubble. You gaze in disbelief and realize it's all for nothing. In an instant, you know you can't greet the waves at the beach nor can you parade in your new swim wear. The reason: you've got ugly cellulite and it has just ruined your day!

Cellulite is enough to make any woman cringe. That's because it looks awful. It appears in the form of bumpy or dimpled skin. Although it's not a serious medical condition and is nothing more than a normal variation of ordinary fat, the presence of cellulite can lower one's self-esteem and erode a person's confidence.

“Cellulite ranges in severity. Mild cases can only be seen when the skin is pinched - the dimpling appears in the pinched skin. More severe cases make the skin appear rumpled and bumpy with areas of peaks and valleys. Cellulite is most common around the thighs and buttocks, but it can be found on the breasts, lower abdomen and upper arms as well, ” said the experts at MayoClinic.com.

At least eight out of 10 women have cellulite and the risk of getting it increases as you age since this is the time that the skin loses some of its elasticity. Stress, an inactive lifestyle, weight gain, and the use of hormonal contraceptives may increase your chances of getting cellulite. The condition also runs in families.

“Poor blood and lymphatic circulation, hormonal imbalances, connective tissue weakness, premature skin aging, poor nutrition, excessive alcohol intake and/or a sedentary lifestyle may contribute to the problem. Cellulite is not a skin condition of the modern age. In fact, cases of cellulite have been recorded for some 150 years in Europe, ” said the editors of Yahoo! Health.

Now that you know what cellulite is, how do you get rid of it? Don't expect miracles from massage, rubbing, heat or plastic wraps – they rarely work. They may reduce cellulite temporarily by reducing the amount of fluids in the area. However, as soon as the fluids are replaced, the area goes back to its original size.

Surgical procedures such as liposuction may help in some cases but this is an extreme measure with a lot of expenses, discomforts, and risks. In others, surgery may make cellulite look worse.

“Weight loss - through healthy diet and regular exercise - is probably the most beneficial cellulite treatment. Losing pounds and strengthening muscles in your legs, thighs and buttocks can improve the appearance of the dimpled skin. The benefits of weight loss alone are limited, however. Though the cellulite may be less noticeable after weight loss, it won't go away completely, ” said the people at MayoClinic.com.

Dramatic results have been reported with Celrase, a breakthrough formula that targets cellulite at the right places to eliminate those ugly bumps and dimples. Just rub it on the problem areas – the hips, thighs, stomach or chin – and let Celrase do the rest. When used as directed, Celrase helps reduce and eliminate stubborn fat, makes excess inches disappear, and restores the skin's youthful glow to reveal a more beautiful and sexier you.
