3 Great Hangover Cures

1. Minimize the effects of the alcohol you’re going to drink

You should never go out with an empty stomach. Food is very important to preventing hangovers because the food in your body will help prevent all of the alcohol in your body going to the bloodstream. Also, you’ll lack a lot of energy when going out with an empty stomach. You’ll also become hungrier within a few hours, and this could cause a negative effect to your partying experience.

Make sure your body is hydrated. As your body is 70% water and alcohol is a diuretic (something that makes you wants to urinate) you’ll need to continuously hydrate your body so that it has enough fluids. Having fun through the night while you are dehydrated will definitely lead to a hangover the next day. You need more liquid going into your body than coming out.

Don’t take any headache medicine when you get home. Many people think these tablets will help them prevent hangovers, but what actually happens is that Aspirin will upset the stomach and will increase the chances of a hangover. The leading ingredient in analgesics, Acetaminophen (or Paracetamol) can cause your liver to explode when it mixes with your alcohol still in your body. Just drink lots of water.

2. Take the “Ultimate Hangover Cure"

This cure is mentioned in the hangover article on SoYouWanna.com. The recipe for this cure is:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 small can of V-8
  • 6 large strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1-2 cups of milk
  • ΒΌ table spoon of salt
  • A small amount of nutmeg

This recipe should be blended together, and you should drink it all up. Additionally you should take 2 aspirins, a 200mg dose of cysteine, a 600mg dose of Vitamin C and a tablet of Vitamin-B complex. These ingredients can be bought from pharmacies.

This recipe is effective, but the downside is that the time and effort taken to just create the cure is not easy and fast. The recipe can cost quite some money to make, and it is not suitable for the frequent party person and heavy drinker. You’ll have some trouble making the actual cure while you’re having a hangover.

    3. Take a hangover cure pill.

These pills are designed to cure and prevent hangovers. Just pop in a pill (or 2 pills for better effect) and that’s it for the night.

The benefit of using these products is that they are made of herbal ingredients. Herbal ingredients are very effective to maintain the body’s health, and hangovers can be cured with these ingredients. Herbal ingredients have no side effects, unlike the chemical hangover cures available.

When buying hangover cure pills, the website you’re buying them from should have detailed information of how a hangover is caused, and how herbal ingredients are effective in preventing and curing it. When you choose hangover pills to choose, don’t buy ones that are sold for over $20 a single pill. These ones are rip-offs and they should be avoided. Hangover pills should be affordable, so the avid party person can use hangover pills for months.
