Xbox Games New Releases - What to Look Forward To

Visitors: 231

Ever since Pong and Atari broke onto the scene in the 1970s and 80s, the gaming industry has been thriving. With ever-improving graphics and gaming systems, the industry has come a long way since joystick controllers and block figures moving on the screen. Each year that passes, the games become more refined with more sophisticated user-interfaces.

The three major gaming systems these days are the PlayStation 3, the Nintendo Wii, and the xbox 360. Each system has its own strengths and weaknesses and the new releases for each are hotly anticipated.

This season's xbox games are especially exciting. While the PlayStation and xbox have many of the same games offered, the xbox offers a far more robust online service in xbox live, which can add a whole new level to even the best games. Some of the current xbox games new releases to remember are the following:

1. Call of Duty 5. The fifth game of this popular series is set during World War II, focusing on the battle between America and Japan. This latest version features the best graphics to date and an attention to weaponry detail that is phenomenal. The first-person style of play allows the player to go on missions to defeat the enemy. To ramp up the conflict, players can compete against other players on xbox Live.

2. Gears of War 2. This violent video game is one of the hottest releases of the season. Boasting an impressive user-interface, this sci-fi thriller pits the player against aliens in a galactic battle that outshines the first.

3. Guitar Hero World Tour. Guitar Hero rocked the gaming world when it first came onto the scene and this newest rendition builds on that success. This time around, more players can get in on the action and players have the chance to try their hand at a variety of instruments including the drums. Players even have the option to take the microphone and give vocals a go, making this one of the most exciting of the xbox games new releases.

4. NBA Live 2009. For the sports fanatic, this release is a must have. This basketball game allows players to manage an NBA team and try to get their team all the way through to the finals. This year's version has the most realistic graphics and best kept players stats yet.

5. Fallout 3. Another dynasty, the Fallout series, offers up its third version, this time under a new developer. This role-play style game takes a futuristic bent, set in a post-apocalyptic time. Fans are glad to see this series saved and eagerly await this new version.

These five games are just the tip of the iceberg. Each passing week, there are more and more xbox games new releases to choose from to enrich your gaming experience.
