People are more interested in playing sudoku. It is easy to play as it involves only numbers from 1 to 9. Even children, from age 5 onwards are able to start playing sudoku for beginners. Levels of difficulty are available in sudoku play, which means you need enough practice to solve each of the puzzle with less aid and time. Basically, everyone of us know how to count and calculate with numbers but interestingly iy involves application of probability to put the right numbers into the right boxes respectively.

Unlike crosswords which requires high vocabulary skills, sudoku is a universal game for all of us. It has become more addictive when sudoku is available in newspapers and magazines. It is a real craze when the puzzles are highly distributed via internet. Not to mention free downloads, there are people are willing to purchase ebooks online.

There are plenty of free sudoku websites that automatically generate puzzles and solutions for players. Sudoku is also like chess, it requires strategy and certain techniques of solving difficult puzzles. For advanced players, they might use techniques like “X-Wing", “Swordfish"; “Forcing Chains" and “Nishio". These techniques are often used in instant sudoku solving as it requires lots of training. There are more techniques of solving it that can be found in any forums. In forums, skills can be developed from learning solving skills from other people.

Most players like to have sudoku in different layouts. Some prefer plain paper layout as seen in most newspapers, and others prefer creative and colorful layouts. Fashionable sudoku are not in form of numbers, but in form of pictures, or abstracts. This could live-up sudoku standards in terms of levels of difficulty and creativity.
