Since the last five years Sulafest has been one of the most awaited events for wine lovers. Over 8,000 delighted visitors have had a gala time here. An intoxicating mix of music, wine, leisure and delight is all set within the charming and spectacular Sula vineyards.
We spoke to Cecilia Oldne, Global Brand Ambassador, Head - International Business. And she promises two days of musical extravaganza that'll leave you wanting for more!
What is in store for the guests with respect to the wines?
Sulafest has greatly helped increase the awareness of wine as a part of people’s lifestyle. Sulafest is a great way to introduce visitors not just to the festival but also to the beautiful culture that is wine. Festival goers have the opportunity to be a part of wine tastings, winery tours and even grape stomping that enhance the entire experience of a music concert and festival set right in the midst of our beautiful vineyards.
What are the activities that the guests can be a part of?
Sulafest 2013 combines the pleasures of music, wine, food, shopping and more for an experience like no other! There will be a host of fun activities like tattoo artists, nail art, foot spa, grape stomping, wine tasting, sing-a-song artists and a whole lot more. A winery tour and tasting is priced at Rs. 200. Grape stomping at Rs. 200 too.
Is there a flea market this time as well?
Spicing up the great musical line-up at the festival will be the “Sulafest Bazaar” with a selection of carefully chosen and charming items for sale. Some of the funky stalls at the Bazaar this year are:

Who are the artists performing at the fest?
This year's band line-up will feature four celebrated international acts – legendary headliner DEEP FOREST LIVE, French artiste ST GERMAIN, GAUDI + Indubious and reggae stars IRIE FM along with Indian stars Swarathma, Dualist Inquiry and others. And, there will be plenty of other entertainment that will make Sulafest a truly inimitable experience.
The “Electrozone” DJ stage makes its debut this year where a cool line up of international DJ’s will keep up a House and Tech groove.
What is the kind of food that is available?
The food court at Sulafest is set to be a gourmand’s delight with something for everyone. The spread of cuisines ranges from Spanish to South Indian , Oriental and even Lebanese among others.

Any major brands that will have their stalls there?
Yes quite a few… Asahi Beer, Cointreau, Mount Gay Rum, Grant’s, Hardys, Sierra Tequila, Hendrick’s Gin, Balvenie Single Malt Whisky and Budweiser will all be served for the one looking for more than wine.
Also, we have Rolls-Royce on board this year and their “Ghost” is on display for anyone who wants to experience this beautiful car.
Are there any stay facilities that guests can pre-book?
Guests can book accommodation through Black Grape Holidays.
Alternatively, Sula Vineyards has tied up with White Collar Hippie to create “White Collar Hippie's Campsite” at Sulafest ‘13. This will give guests the opportunity to experience camping under the stars with music, bonfires etc just a few minutes away from the fest venue. Tell us a bit about the shuttle service. How can one get on the bus? How much does one need to pay for it? How many buses have been arranged from Mumbai/ Pune. Sula Vineyards invites you to enjoy “White Collar Hippie's Band on the Bus” to the fest where the party begins even as you cruise out of Mumbai towards the Nashik hills. Seats on the band on the bus can be booked on the website.
What time does the festival start? And when do the performances begin? From 12:30 PM till 10 PM Sulafest party-goers can enjoy a pageant of great music, wine, food and shopping in the idyllic environs of the winery's beautiful open-air, Greek-style amphitheater. Performances begin at 2 PM on both days of the festival.

When does the party get over?
