One country that is known across the globe for being a place that has various regions, different languages, and even more varied and diversified land is India. A particular thing in this country can be found in so many different ways and hence there will be so many kinds of variety. This is something that everyone will agree on.
Coming back to the point, what we see is that tea plant is also one of the crops that is produced in India. And it is obviously the most consumed beverage across the globe. What we see is that India might just be the largest producer of this beverage in the world. This is because it produces at least one fourth of what the world consumes. And more over the export of leaves of different kinds is seen in the market overseas.
This is the reason why India has also come up with the idea of tendering diversification of its produces. As we all know the country has a varied kind of region, there are hills and mountains and plateaus. Earlier people were unaware of the untapped potential of this land and the kind of products that the land could produce. Since there were different kinds of mountains in different parts of the country it was an obvious fact that there would be different kinds of herbs, shrubs and plants available in India. We have the state of West Bengal which amongst all the other states is the highest producer of tea leaves in the country. Apart from West Bengal there are other regions like Assam and the Nilgiris which also produce the leaves.
Since all these places are situated in different places of the country the climate thus varies. Not only will the climate, because of this variation obviously the land and the soil of these places is different from one another. When the soil is different the product that they will yield will also be different in characteristics.
And hence here we have a reason so as to why the country produces different kinds of tea available. There are diversification of this product, and there are a number of plants that we find here. We have the teas like black, green; the leaves of oolong kind, Assam, Darjeeling and tea from the Nilgiris and many more. More over these days the process of blending and tasting has furthermore given rise to more and more flavors. These are consumed by different kinds of people which also includes the people who did not consume this hot beverage earlier.
