Summer is already here and it’s time to embrace the heat by having a refreshing glass of iced tea. Everyone loves this summer beverage!. You can add some spice to your summer by trying out different flavors of iced tea.

The days will only get longer and hotter so why not cool down with some homemade herbal iced tea. Homemade iced tea? Yes! Of course you can get canned or bottled iced tea but these are full of artificial flavors, colors, and sweeteners. Take this time as a great opportunity to sample some of the different types of organic iced tea available today. Moreover, herbal iced tea is good for health unlike those canned or bottled summer drinks. Again, you won’t find a readymade iced tea of a high quality till now.

Homemade organic iced tea seems simple to make but it takes a bit of time and effort to master it. But whatever the hard work or effort, it is worth the try.

A refreshing glass of organic iced tea is a treat not only in summer but all year round. Often black tea is used to make most iced tea recipe but you can make iced tea almost from any blend or type of tea. If you prefer herbs and fruits tea, you can make iced teas from them also. Instead of the usual lemon iced tea, these herbs and fruit herbal teas would spice up your summer.

Organic iced tea can be prepared using the hot preparation or the cold preparation. The hot preparation method involves heating the water and steeping the tea. Steeping and the water temperature may vary according to the type of tea you are using. Once the organic iced tea is prepared, chill it for 3-4 hours before serving.

For the cold preparation, you can use a recommended amount of water for the tea amount you are brewing and steep it. Once you complete steeping it, you can remove the tea leaves through a strainer while pouring it in a pitcher. You can add sugar if you want to make the tea sweet. Chill the tea prepared for 2 hrs before serving.
