The Heritage of Indian Food and Indian Caterers

Visitors: 298

Indian cuisine is more than just a type of food; it is the depiction of the true Indian lifestyle. The various cultures and religions that have been a part of the Indian subcontinent have left their mark on the vast Indian cuisine. These cultural influences in addition to the climate and the religion of the Indians have together created the massive food line-up that we call Indian cuisine.

Indian cuisine is not only limited to India alone; its popularity has travelled across continents in the shape of authentic Indian caterers. The rich use of innumerable spices and the inclusion of various lentils, vegetables and other flavouring agents is what makes the Indian cuisine authentic and so different from any other cuisine of the world. Within India itself, one is amazed to see such a rich diversity that has resulted due to the soil type and climate of the various provinces.

If rice is the preferred carbohydrate in one province, whole wheat bread is liked by others; similarly if in one province, people like to cook their food in coconut or sesame oil, others prefer cooking in simple vegetable oil or vanaspati ghee. But it is this dissimilar choice of food amongst the various areas of India which gives the Indian cuisine such diversity.

The British who once lived in this region, missed this cuisine when they travelled back home. In order to cater for their demand and desire, many Indian food lovers started Indian catering business in those parts and soon became a success. Indian caterers are not only popular back home where they help families create a truly beautiful and authentic Indian wedding and other occasions, they are also quite popular in the United Kingdom.

For all the Indians who live in UK, Indian caterers are a blessing in disguise. Because these NRIs live in a country that is very different from their own, they can find it really difficult to create an authentic wedding venue with typical and delicious Indian food. The Indian caterers are therefore the best solution to their problems. These caterers are well versed in the art of creating a truly Indian event that is complete with authentic décor and tasteful Indian food.

With time, Indian caterers have grown in number both in India and abroad. One has a good variety of Indian caterers to choose from and should do that very carefully.
