Vong Wong Situated in the heart of South Mumbai, Its a truly a haven for Pan Asian lovers. Authentic, delectable, and supremely satiating, Vongwong has carved a unique niche for itself as the connoisseur of Pan Asian cuisine in one of the busiest districts of Mumbai.

From its spacious interiors, to its courteous staff, Vongwong has consistently garnered rave reviews amongst the South Mumbai crowd. One can tuck in for a lengthy Sunday Brunch or even for a round of their famous cocktails over the weekend.

Their new menu encompasses the old favorites like the Chinese Black Cod and adds zing with new additions such as the Banana Prawn Rolls and an extended range of scrumptious Thai salads to name a few. Vegetarians can feast over their latest version of the popular Som Tum. This new inclusion is termed as Som Tum Tord and is a classic raw papaya salad served batter fried – a Vongwong twist on a perennial favorite.

The USP of the restaurant in Mumbai and the new menu is most certainly their vast range of Dim Sums. In the vegetarian fare, the uber talented owner Aashiyana Shroff recommends the Steamed Curried Dumplings, dim sums filled with curried exotic vegetables, sublime flavors that do not overpower one’s taste buds and is also wonderfully healthy. She adds that The Thai curries and Khao Suey are amongst the most loved dishes for both vegetarians and non vegetarians and these have been retained in the new menu as well.

For meat and seafood lovers, she swears by the Wasabi Prawns, crispy prawns with the ‘Vongwong” special wasabi coating and traditional Peking Duck served with spring onions, cucumber, steamed pancakes and plum sauce. With over 50 varieties of dim sum in this new menu, Vongwong is a gastronomical delight for any dim sum lover.

It would be unfair to exclude their award winning dish, the Pacific Black Cod VSOP, black cod glazed with honey garlic sauce flavored with VSOP cognac and served with spring onion tempura. A dish that is exclusive to Vong Wong in Mumbai and is the highlight of this new menu is their Duck Curry. Known for their stupendous Crispy Aromatic Duck s well as the Peking Duck, the owners decided to add yet another interesting variation. The duck curry consists of roasted duck in the traditional red curry sauce. A must try!

Their vast and colorful range of cocktails is also a part of this new menu. Owner Aashiyana says her personal favorite is the Apple and Hazelnut martini. The Magical Ming comes a close second followed by their fresh fruit cocktails.

An interesting mix of Thai and Chinese food, with some great dim sum's and cocktails, Vongwong is all set to win over Pan Asian lovers with this New menu!
