Great Celebrity Owned Restaurants in San Francisco - Not Just a Place for Dining

Some of the finest restaurants in San Francisco are owned by celebrities like singers, actors, movie directors, chefs and many more. To make you feel that you that you are in a celebrity-owned place the celebrities have given the decoration and the menu their personal touch.

To taste Italian food you must surely visit Cafe Zeotrope San Francisco which is owned by movie director Francis Ford Coppola. He coordinates with the chefs to make his dishes tastier and look great. You can expect a very warm and friendly ambience at this cafe.

The Dressing Room: A Homegrown Restaurant has been created by the joint effort of Paul Newman and Chef Michel Nischan. It is situated on the grounds of the Westport County Playhouse.

Drew Nieporent along with the Myriad Group formed Rubicon which stands at 558 Sacramento Street. Tyler Florence, the star chef, opened Wayfare Tavern on the Rubicon space on a lease agreement. There is a billiard room and entry fees range from $20 to $32.

XYZ San Francisco is another restaurant owned by the celebrity chef Paul Piscopo who had won the Iron Chef. The cuisine is seasonal Californian. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at this restaurant.

Hayes Street Grill offers seafood and is owned by celebrity food writer Patricia Unterman. The French Laundry Restaurant is owned by Celebrity chef Thomas Keller where Californian and French dishes are served. Chef Traci Des Jardins owns the classic restaurant called Jardiniere Restaurant. You will find flavorsome appetizers on the menu.

The Wolfgang Puck owns the Postrio Restaurant which features a lounge or a cafe set up. You can have breakfast, lunch and exclusive dinners out here. Al-Masri Egyptian Restaurant is another celebrity owned restaurant. Chef Sausan who is a professional in performing arts offers exotic cuisines at this restaurant.

Perry's is managed by Mayor of San Francisco, Cameron Policy- the 49ers President and Willie Brown and normal American food is served here. You can have a taste of good burgers, sandwiches and lobsters.

Some of the other popular San Francisco restaurants are Ana Mandara, Fleur De Lys and the Slanted Door.
