Every 12 to 18 months Oregano Restaurants is issuing a new menu. Since the introduction of Oregano in May of 2005 the company is following this time frame. We asked Maurizio Steichler, Director of Oregano, why they are creating a new menu in this frequency.
“Well, our locations are all situated in communities. It is either an office community or a residential community and in some cases both. Our patrons will quickly know their favorite dish but like to try something new every now and then. In order to offer our guests just this we introduced monthly specials and consequently after twelve to eighteen months launch a new menu. ” Maurizio explained. He continued, “We are proud about the fact that we have a very loyal customer base. In order to keep them also informed about food trends we are using each new menu to introduce new dishes.
In the new Oregano menu our guests will find the introduction of whole-wheat, which we are using in our pizzas and for selected pastas. This means that our guests can chose between traditional and whole-wheat dough. In addition of adding more health oriented whole-wheat dishes, we have also introduced in our Chef’s special’s a section featuring “pesce é pollo” (fish and chicken) dishes. We have increased our Salmon offer, making them much more exiting. Further, we have added an intriguing Hamour plate and a captivating Grouper dish to the menu. Another feature is our Pasta selection, which was widened by the launch of an old Canelloni recipe from my grandmother. With this we are featuring all pasta dishes any good “Ristorante” in Liguria would feature, Lasagne, Gnocchi, Ravioli and Canelloni.
