You can cut cinnamon rolls the easy way. Once you have rolled up the dough for cinnamon rolls, it can be kind of tough to slice into equal sections before cooking it. You should place a piece of thread underneath the roll you are wanting to cut. Bring thread around sides, then cross thread at top and quickly pull ends in opposite directions. This makes sure the cinnamon rolls will be perfect slices.

Using beef or chicken stock to take the place of water in potatoes and other foods also adds flavor. If you don't have prepared stock, you can a bullion cube to the water. Doing this helps you retain the required level of moisture in the dish while simultaneously injecting an extra layer of flavor.

Oil should be added to the side of the pan. When it reaches the food, it will already be heated up. This will help to maximize the flavor of your food when you are done.

Carefully measure the oil you are going to cook with. When it is time to add oil to your cooking pan, measure it instead of pouring directly from the bottle. This can ensure you are aware of the amount of unhealthy fat going into your food. Measuring your oil is the only way to control the impact it has on the flavor and fat content of your dish.

When making salsa to be eaten later, rinse the onions after you dice them, and use a paper towel to blot them dry. Raw onions emit sulfurous gas when they are chopped. This could ruin your salsa. Then you run the onions under water, much of the gas is removed.

This trick can save you a ton of work and it can be used immediately. You need to mix 2 tablespoons filled with water and 1 tablespoon filled with corn starch in a bowl. Slowly stir the mixture into the sauce to thicken it. Avoid over-thickening by adding the starch mixture slowly and stirring the sauce often.

Try to procure the freshest herbs and ingredients when cooking. It is fine to use dried herbs when the dish will involve varied flavors due to complexity. Keep in mind that the fresh ones are better and will have a fresher, stronger, and much better taste overall. Cultivating a small, windowsill herb garden ensures that you will always have access to fresh herbs.
