Crunchy Walnut Meatballs

1-pound Ground beef
½-pound Ground pork
1-packet Onion soup mix
1-cup Bread crumbs
½-cup Milk, scalded
1-medium Egg
½-cup Parsley, chopped
1-cup Walnuts, chopped
2-tablespoons Oil, vegetable
1-tablespoon Flour
2-cups Water
2-tablespoons Ketchup


Mix 1 tablespoon of onion soup mix with bread crumbs in scalded milk for 5 minutes. Stir milk mixture into beef and pork in large bowl; add egg, parsley and mix.

Sauté walnuts slowly in oil in large skillet until a rich brown; remove; stir walnuts into meat mixture. Pour and stir remaining soup mix into oil in skillet, blend in flour, then stir in water and ketchup, stirring constantly until it boils, 1 minute. Form meat mixture into medium sized balls. Add balls to sauce; simmer slowly until done. Serve over rice or noodles of your choice.
