Ensuring Privacy to the data sent and received through the internet

Due to the awareness of internet usage and the advance in internet technology, most of the service providers support online applications for us. As a result, the amount of data passed trough various application servers are limitless and the requirement of data protection software is more than ever. There are varieties of products under the label of data protection software. But in order to protect the data from the hackers and from any other source of destruction, a series of features has to be considered.

In many banking applications and online shopping portals, sensitive information like bank details are required. Though most of the standard service providers are using secured servers for the transaction, this confidential information will be available as encrypted format or as hidden files in our computer. Thus, one who knows to recover these data from the hidden format can misuse it. Many of the computer and internet users are suffering from the loss caused by hackers. Efficient data protection software can be used to overcome the above said problems.

File shredding as part of the data protection software

File shredding is a mode of removing files from the hard disk of our computer system thereby, eliminating the concern that a second person can recover it. Files stored in a windows operating system can be recovered by specific software tools. Though, we can manually delete the files in our windows operating system, they can be retrieved using the recovery tools. Common delete operations will not delete the content from the file system; instead, they are marked as deleted. But by using data protection software with the file shredding option, we can delete the files permanently from our file systems.

While looking for the performance of any data protection software, the presence of removal of internet traces has to be given importance. There are many spyware which gets stored in our computer system and gets self installed. Most of these spy ware programs will trace the sensitive information stored as hidden files, from the hard disk of our computer system. They can send this information to the marketing companies who are responsible for the distribution of these spyware programs. Thus, internet traces will send private information to outsiders without our consent.

Features of data protection software

The various data protection software available in the market can reduce the unauthorised access of data stored in our computer. In order to ensure the complete protection of data available in our system, we have to depend on reliable data protection software. Winclear is one of the efficient data protection software available in the market with lots of functionalities to improve the security of our business. I use the file shredder facility available in the software to delete the internet traces from my computer.

Some of the more notable history eraser programs available online include WinClear, Evidence Nuker and Evidence Smart. Each of these programs have there pros and cons but will do a good overall job of protecting the sensitive information on your computer.

John Wood has written a comprehensive review of WinClear and many of the other popular history eraser programs available on his website. You can see how they all compare by visiting Best Internet History Eraser and WinClear Review
