How I Download Videos For My Zune

Visitors: 173

Whether you enjoy watching movies, TV shows, or that latest Usher music video, I can assure you that you can watch it all on the Zune. I know this because I have recently started doing it myself. At first, I was a bit skeptical about watching any videos on my Zune, but soon found it to be a rather refreshing substitute for listening to music on my way to work. So in this article I have written about how I download videos for my Zune.

First off, the basics: essentially, your Zune can support 4 video formats, H.264, WMV, ASF and MPEG-4 video. An important question many folks perhaps including you would ask - so which one is the best? On the surface, H.264 appears to be better than MPEG-4 because of the crystal clear picture quality. It also takes much lesser space than MPEG-4. This simply means that you can pack more videos and music into your Zune if you use this video format. There are some who would argue that both formats are equally excellent in terms of picture quality when the encoding is done at higher supported video settings.

As a proud owner of the 30 gigabyte Zune, I have realized that there is almost no limit for me when downloading media onto my Zune player.

The next question you might be asking yourself is ‘Where can I download videos for my Zune?" Well, there are many options for you to choose from. The simplest option is to purchase music videos, Pixar short films, or select TV episodes via a music store such as iTunes or the Zune marketplace. Such online music stores usually give you the option of browsing, previewing and in case if you like them, downloading it for $1.99.

From time to time, I also like to use BitTorrent, which is a search engine that can track videos, music, etc. P2P software often has a great variety of videos and files that have been uploaded by other users from around the world, however sometimes files can be on the bad quality side and corrupt. But all in all P2P software often can get the job done.

Finally, I also like to convert some of the old videos that I have stored on my computer (eg, family videos, movies, music videos, etc) to formats that are playable on the Zune. There are many types of converting programs on the web that are available for free; you should be able to find them easily.

Well, that was, all in all, where I usually download videos for my Zune . I hope that this article has been informative. Downloading videos for the Zune is by no means an arduous task, and will definitely provide you with many hours of entertainment; I guarantee it.
