Making gold is by far the biggest problem most World of Warcraft players have. And when you first start out, it can take you a very long time to figure out how this game works. So here is a sure fire method to making a lot of gold you can follow.
If you're just starting out, you'll find gold farming very difficult. Typically, you'll only make a couple of bronze for each monster you kill, and it can get repetitive and boring easily. But the method I'm about to share only requires a few basic things: some gold (about 50 silver is enough), and the mods Auctioneer and BottomScanner, both of which are available free online. You can do a Google search on these two mods and download them.
Once you have 50 silver and the Auctioneer and BottomScanner mods, you are ready to start making gold. First, go to the auction house (any one will do). Do a scan in the Browse Auctions window. Then, click on the “BtmScan" tab and click on the yellow triangle to turn the BottomScanner on.
This will give you an updated list of what the average price items go for in the auction house is. Once you have this list, look to see if you have any items that have a buyout price of 10 silver or more. If you have any items worth over 10 silver that you don't need, create an auction and list it for below the buyout price. This will mean someone will definitely buy your item fast.
With the BottomScanner mod, you can also search through items that are priced below the auction price. You can then buy these items, and resell them at the market price for a profit.
The final option - if you don't want to do farm gold and carefully monitor the auction house yourself - is to buy gold. If you know where to look, you can buy gold extremely cheaply, and power leveling services are also available. You can invest in these kinds of services if you are a low level and just want to play a high level character right away. Otherwise, you can buy a good strategy guide and do it yourself.
