One of the easiest ways to take stress out of your life at work or in your home office is to upgrade to a refurbished HP 5200tn printer. This printer has all the features that you expect from a brand new HP printer plus, with the possible upgrades included, you may walk away with a deal you just can't refuse. Since refurbished computers typically are far less in price than a brand new model you can cut hundreds of dollars off what you thought you would pay and actually have more printer capability.

The refurbished HP 5200tn printer prints up to 35 pages per minute in crystal clear and crisp black and white. Like many of the new models of HP printers the 5200tn also has a very short start up time. Gone are the days when you had to sit and watch the warming up light blink for what seemed like an eternity. These new computers will have the first page coming out in under 10 seconds even if it has been sitting for an extended period of time.

In addition to printing quickly, a refurbished HP 5200tn printer also has a high monthly print volume. This is a number that is generated by HP as a range of monthly pages printed to sustain the longest life on the printer. For the 5200tn the recommended monthly print volume is between 2500 and 10,000 pages. If you are exceeding this amount of printed pages per month you can either select a different printer or simply purchase an additional refurbished HP 5200tn printer and divide the computers feeding to each printer. For a small home office you may not need to worry about exceeding this amount but it is nice to know you have the ability to expand when necessary.

Like most HP printers there is a standard memory that comes with the basic printer. It is 64MB for this particular model. However, there is the option to upgrade to a maximum of 512 MB for those large projects and jobs. Often the refurbished printers will have a memory upgrade with their original purchase, allowing you to get much more without paying the full additional price. Of course all aspects of the printer are fully tested before resale so you never have to worry about the quality of the printer you are purchasing.

It is designated as a wide printer which means it can handle standard letter and legal paper sizes as well as the large 11 by 17 inch paper. There are three paper trays that are standard with a printer and include 100, 250 and 500 sheet tray options. The output bin or shelf is 250 sheets which means you don't have to be standing at the printer to constantly clear the output bin. This also allows for trouble free printing on even the very largest of projects. The model comes with the option to include the automatic duplexer that turns the paper over for printing on both sides.

A refurbished HP 5200tn printer is a real deal since it works with so many different types of operating systems. Even if you have the older Windows XP home or professional it is fully compatible. The same goes for Windows 2000, Linux operating systems and all Mac OS from v10.2.8 up to 10.6. With this type of compatibility you don't have to worry about having to upgrade your computers just to get the latest in features in your printer. Plus, to top it all off, this printer qualifies as an Energy Star device, a great match for any energy conscious or green office.
