Visitors: 468

If you use BitTorrent or other P2P shared networks then you may have encountered dom player. “Dom player", “DomPlayer", or “playon dom media player" is one of the latest malware programs taking the P2P world by storm. It is a highly dangerous form of malware and should be removed immediately.

Dom player gets on your computer by masking itself as a media player. Typically someone will download a multimedia file and then get the following message:

"This video can only be played in DomPlayer, Visit Download. Domplayer. Com"

You will then be taken to a website which seems professional and gives you the steps to unlocking the multimedia file. Although the program claims to be “100% clean with no bundled software", playon dom media player is malware of the worst kind. The program not only infects your computer with malware it also scams you out of money through a dodgy cell phone scam.

Malware is a form of malicious software designed to infiltrate, spy, and ultimately corrupt the users computer. This includes viruses, worms, trojan dialers, spyware, and some forms of adware.

If you think you may have installed this playon dom media player, I cannot stress enough that you have to get rid of it right away. Because this type of malware can spread itself throughout your computer I do not recommend attempting trying to remove it manually. The best course of action is to scan your entire hard drive.

The following website Spyware Fix will give you the opportunity in minutes to scan your computer with some of the most powerful malware and spyware removers on the internet. Scan your computer now to remove any trace of the dom player malware.
