If you have ever tried to lookup a cell phone number you will know it can be a really frustrating and time-consuming task. Fortunately, there is a powerful - and free - tool right in front of your eyes: Google.
More and more people nowadays have their own website, be it for private or business purposes. Many of these people also publish their private information - including their cell phone number on their websites. Google as a search engine indexes millions of websites day for day, minute for minute. So if the owner of the cell phone number you want to lookup has published his number on his website, Google will most probably know about it.
To search for the number, all you have to do is enter it into Google's search box. You will probably get a lot of results; so unfortunately, you have to go through at least the first few pages. What you can do to improve the quality of the results you will get is to use quotes. This will tell the search engine to only look for websites on which the number is in exactly the order you've typed it in.
Another cool feature introduced by Google is the Phonebook service. All you have to do to use it is to write “phonebook:" in front of your search term. For example when looking for the cell phone number 555-555-5555, you would enter “phonebook: 555-555-5555" into the search box.
If however, Google hasn't been able to find the number you want to lookup, you might want to use a reverse cell phone lookup directory. These directories provide you with all the information you need (Owner's name, full address, satellite maps, and more) and they have hundreds of millions cell phone numbers in their databases.
