Pleural mesothelioma is the most common type of mesothelioma and has been studied to a far greater degree than any of the other forms of the disease. However, it is difficult to diagnose pleural mesothelioma in its early stages because its symptoms often mimic the symptoms of other common illnesses, such as the flu, pneumonia or laryngitis. Using image study CT inspection is difficult to confirm the Benign pleural mesothelioma.
