Agrisphera, the program is established. The star will be economist Jacques Attali

The program for the two days of conferences and seminaries concerning the food processing industry, scheduled on December 15th and 16th in Rome, is approved. The discussion points will be international development, investments, innovation, the new CAP and the future scenery of the food processing economy. Great expectations for the speech of the well known economist and writer Jacques Attali.

Turin, 2nd December 2011 - Two weeks before the opening, the program of Agrisphera, two days of conferences and seminaries concerning the food processing sector, scheduled for December, 15th and 16th, is defined. The meeting for Public Institutions, Professional and Trade Associations, financial and research players and food processing firms is in Rome, at Luiss University of Social Studies “Guido Carli”.

Organized by the GL events Italia Fiere, Agrisphera is patronized by the European Parliament, the Representation in Milan of the European Commission, the Italian Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri, the Italian Ministry of the Agricultural and Forest Policies and the City of Turin.

On December, 15th, in the morning, Andrea Varnier, General Manager of Lingotto Fiere, and Giustiniano La Vecchia, Corporate Relations Manager of Agrisphera, will open the event with a presentation of the concept of the event: “Agricolture Reloaded”, that means the necessity, for the actors of the food processing sector, to compare themselves with the crisis scenario by aiming at cooperative business models and carrying out new strategies, in order to promote growth and international development.

Maria Lodovica Gullino, Professor, Vice-Rector of University of Turin and Director of AgroInnova (Centre of Competence for the innovation in Agricultural and Environmental Research Field) will talk about the role of biotechnologies in sustaining and developing food processing firms.

To follow Tamar Ziv, counselor for Economic Affairs of Israeli Embassy in Italy and permanent Representative of Israel at FAO, will talk about innovation and entrepreneurial opportunities offered by Israel.

Finally in the morning, Mario Ferrari, lawyer specialized in commercial and corporate laws and partner in R&P Legal, will explain the legal framework of the foreign investments, giving some practical suggestions.

In the afternoon, Luigi Spiga, Business Strategy Innovator - Associate Partner in IMC International and IED - European Institute of Design ex-Director, and S. E. Arvelo, Dominican Republic Ambassador at FAO, will elaborate the theme of internationalization. Luigi Spiga’s contribution, in particular, will focus on the importance of “think different” in order to compete with success in increasingly global businesses.

On December, 16th, the speech of the economist and writer Jacques Attali is on: the French author, who in his last work state that the economic crisis push us into a new social paradigm, founded on the concepts of connectivity and interdependence, will speak about the future scenery of agricultural and food processing economy.

S. E Miguel Ruiz Cabañas Izquierdo, Mexican Ambassador in Italy and permanent Representative of Mexico at FAO, FIDA, PMA and UNIDROIT, and Gustavo Oscar Infante, permanent Representative Minister of the Argentine Republic at FAO, FIDA e PMA, will develop the theme of the economic sustainability in the food processing sector, with a specific focus on the Emerging Countries and the Maghreb area.

The new CAP - Common Agricultural Policy and its effects on the Italian food processing sector will be explained on Friday morning from Giuseppe Politi, President of the Agricultural Italian Confederation (CIA). Closing the two days, there will be a speech of Agrisphera Corporate Relations Manager Giustiniano La Vecchia, who will explain the project’s next steps in advance: four itinerant workshops, in which a hundred of small and medium businesses of the food processing sector will define real solutions to the problems through a cooperative planning, and a matching b2b phase, in which firms will be able to meet potential partners, Public and Financial Institutions, in order to start new and profitable relations.
