But a redeeming feature about a small compact machine is - you can plug it right into 110-V outlets in your garage and commence operation.

The inverter technology is currently aimed at increasing the speed of welding in high amp spray transfer, and avoiding the transitional globular transfer phase. Inverter based welders however do not currently offer any advantages for automobile body work.
