How to Recruit Foreign Nurses? Part 3 of 5

This article will talk about the aspects of foreign nursing recruitment that have been ignored or have simply been passed by for simply not understanding or perhaps barriers that existing before have been lifted.

When you think about bringing foreign nurses to the States, many first think about either European Nurses or Philippine Nurses. It is a fact that Philippine nurses have been one of the largest segments in terms of foreign nurses coming to the States to work.

This population segments continues to rise and the importation of foreign nurses from Philippines continues to rise while the importation of European Nurses continues to fall.

Any new medical staffing agency wishing to capture this market may find themselves competing with well established nursing staffing agencies that have a strong foothold on this area.

So how does a new nursing staffing agency create there own path?

A market that has been ignored and will fast become a boom as was Philippines nurses is Mexico. Mexico is fast becoming the new untapped sector. Nursing staffing agencies are beginning to tap this market and tapping the market quit successful. In 2007 Hundreds of new nurses from Mexico were given TN Status to work in the US

TN Status

Allows Canadian and Mexican nurses to work in the U. S. . . Under NAFTA.

To qualify for TN Status:

Be a nurse

Be licensed in the state you will work in the U. S

Proof of original country citizenship

Pay small fee.

Moving quickly into this market will assure any new medical staffing agency to become the leader of this new trend. Creating a foothold will allow your company sustain growth for the next ten to twenty years.
