Harbour and Beach Dynamic advertising

Digital advertising is even taking over on our leisure time, but in a good way, now you will see outdoor digital signage at the quayside, but let us look at the pitfalls in setting up dynamic signage in a hazardous location.

When any digital outdoor signage equipment is used in the open you do have to consider the surroundings it is located in, for instance will the digital advertising device be located in direct sunlight, this can cause different types of issues, as this will cause the Television to over heat in the TV cabinet.

Everything has to be regarded, from the sun to the salt on the breeze, for example in heavy salt air, this will make any dynamic advertising equipment to fail, as the salt crystals will get into the monitor and rot the circuit broads in the equipment and TV, so a special outdoor TV cabinet has to be used, not just any outside TV casing, but a stainless steel housing as one particular grade of stainless steel is used for harbour and marine applications and that is grade 316, as this has a high chromium content in the steel and considerably reduces any corrosion that is present in the air, these are also used in food and pharmaceutical uses due to the high contact to bleach based fluids.

The stylish finish of a stainless steel LCD enclosure is brilliant as typically the wealthy frequent harbour and beach locations on a regular basis, just look at the clientele who buy yachts and boats, so they would not tolerate a ill fitting looking solution.

If a steel LCD enclosure was used, this would be attacked with the salt that is present in the air and cause the LCD enclosure to corrode possibly in the primary month; this is why 316 stainless steel is the well-known choice. This would certainly look off putting to rich guests, so this additional reason is why stainless steel is used.

So what could well be advertised on beach or harbour based digital signage, well the yacht club could market their bar and eaterie, whilst local boat chandlery outlets could advertise their products and services, engaging directly with boat owners.

Weather conditions could be shown so that anyone taking a trip is aware of possible hurricane and storm conditions coming their way.

Now if the harbour club had a WIFI hot spot, a touchscreen digital Lcd advertising display could be used, they could used it as a type of way finding and find out what restaurants are available at the quayside they will stay at next and even make a reservation for a meal in the restaurant. This would involve wiring the digital poster to the Internet so that the client could touch the port on the map and then make their selection from the restaurants, bars, shows and even check out the local weather before they set off.

Electronic digital advertising is every where and being used to boost customers experiences, others are using dynamic advertising to increase brand awareness and market the new seasons range of apparel.
