Top Ten Reasons to Write Articles to Publicize Your Business (Revised)

If you have spent time and money down the drain waiting for “word of mouth" to kick in, or multiple hours on networking meetings, you may want to investigate this number one way to publicize your service. Writing and submitting articles to directories increases your daily web visitors ten fold. Beginners welcome. And, once you learn the skills, you can delegate it all to your office assistant.

Here's the Top Ten Reasons:

1. It's free.

You write the articles. Then send them to high-traffic web sites and article directories that want your articles. This free exchange gives them more useful content that attracts people to their site to read the free information. People like to get a taste of you before they buy. You get web visitors, new clients, subscribers and sales when the people who read your articles like them. Then they come to see your web site to find out more about you. Lists of hundreds if these web sites are available to shorten your submission time.

2. You can reach from 10,000 to 500,000 of your targeted audience each day that you submit an article.

People online want free information. That's why they visit web sites that feature how to articles. The ezine directories feature many categories to submit to. If you are a career coach, send your useful articles to that category. Other categories include business, marketing, personal growth, spiritual, relationships and a multitude of others.

When your articles get published, your web site will get listed in the top 20, and you'll notice your business increasing accordingly. Remember Bill Gates prediction: After 2000, you either take your business online, or you won't have one.

3. You will spend far less time promoting online with advanced article marketing than more traditional ways.

When you spend your time each week writing a short article from 300-800 words (about a half hour for each), you can then delegate the submissions to your low-cost office computer assistant. Total time promoting? Less than six hours a week.

Adapt the motto “If it isn't easy and fun, I just won't do it. " Why should promotion be such a struggle? It's natural to share about our service, but it's easier when we are relaxed in our own setting. Sure, phone conversations and networking are fun, but not nearly as productive for the time and money spent as writing and submitting articles are.

9. This number one promotion technique is viral marketing at its best.

Once you submit articles to multiple high-traffic web sites as part of your promotion plan, you'll notice people from all over the world contacting you. They want and need your information. They will pass it on to others of like mind too. Article marketing helps your Google rating, but it also shows you as the person who knows your subject. After just a few months, when you Google your name, you'll see this viral marketing working well for you. Early months you may be on 500 web sites, but after a year or so, it can be 100,000's.

The amazing thing is you don't have to be a techie to do this game. It's doing what you do anyway. Sharing information about your service or product.

10. Just the key words you use in your article titles and copy can put you in the top 20 web sites in your field.

When my web master wanted me to use Overture or Google to buy key words to optimize my web site's position, I tried it for $500. Even though she was a marketing pro and could write great short ads, it failed. Back to nature and the natural way of marketing with articles.

Remember, this natural promotion method works, even for non-writers because the articles don't have to be complex or grammatically perfect.
