Visitors: 321

One thing that makes a great photograph is one that evokes emotion and feeling, from joy to sadness, hope to hopelessness, peace to rage. That’s what makes any work of art interesting.

People will connect to different photos for various reasons based on their own experiences. You have to be alert and constantly watching for things happening around you. Have your camera ready, be an observer and wait for that special shot. You can fire hundreds of shots and hope that you catch something, or you can wait for the moment.

If you are shooting a festival or a party you could take a wide shot to convey the size or a tighter shot of a small group laughing and having a great time might give you a better feel for the mood of the event. The best way of capturing emotion is pretty obvious and that’s the face. When you look at a face the first thing you notice are the eyes. You want to focus on the eyes which really are the window to the soul. Try a different point of view or angle to get a different perspective. You should also try to back up and zoom in.

This way there is less of a chance of interrupting whatever is going on. Landscape photography can also evoke emotions. They can bring back the memories and feelings of being there. When photographing children get down on their level to see the world the way they do. Another way you can express emotion in your photographs is by editing them. You can evoke emotion by changing colors or softening an image in your photo editing program. By changing a photo to black and white or adding warm or cool colors you can change the mood of a photograph.

Like any artist photographers have their own style. Be an observer, be patient, and enjoy. You can find many more types of photography to get tips on from wedding photography tips for beginners to outdoor photography tips for beginners . Take your time and learn the best ways to take photographs because photography can be a great business that many enjoy.
