Randy has a terrible fight with his wife Yolanda. So as usual he puts on his running shorts, t-shirt and jogging shoes and hits the pavement to release off some steam.
At the third mile of his usual 5-mile route, Yolanda calls him on his cell phone to tell him how really upset she still is with him. She just won't let it go. Their conversation escalates to a new level of outrage. Randy crushes his cell phone under his heel and takes off in a new direction unknown.
He keeps running, leaves the city behind, until it starts getting dark. He takes refuge at an old abandoned farm house with a bunch of hobos. One of them, the Skelton, decides to run together with Randy although they don't know exactly where and why they are running.
To those who ask, Skelton the Big Mouth blurts that they are doing it to “protect the Average American" and give out a “stop the corruption" message to the “big wigs out there. "
They continue running and gathering more hobo co-runners and on the third day of running they are interviewed by a local TV crew looking for an interesting news story. Randy keeps his mouth shut and Skelton does all the anti-corporate ranting and raving.
The next day they are shocked when 100 people join them on their run to nowhere. Pretty soon blogs and internet sites also join the publicity juggernaut and they hit the national news.
Soon they are holding court to crowds and TV crews wherever they go. They start telling such outrageous stories of consumer abuse and corruption by very well known companies that it starts to take a toll on stock prices and sale figures.
That's when in one corporate office in a city unknown a decision is made to stop this mass madness of “running nowhere" by bribing the “idiots" with money and drugs.
When that doesn't work, they decide to send an armed posse to “neutralize" them.
Yolanda is offered an obscene amount of cash to trap Randy. But Randy has a surprise for the whole world. . .
