They said laughter is the best medicine of all. Yes, it is indeed very true. Laughter combined with an energetic sense of humor may help you protect yourselves from any form of ailments. Most medical practitioners also concurred to these magnificent phenomena.

I believe that when people get more laughs to their lives, they are a lot better. Some would cast doubts if laughing really makes people feel better. A good sense of humor, positive attitude, and most specially family and friend's support plays an important role too.

According to some analysts, laughter is indeed a therapy. But what really happens when we laugh? Physiologically, we are changed when we laugh. Our muscles are stretched out from our neck to our entire body. Our blood pressure and even our pulse tend to go up, we breathe faster that sends enough oxygen to our tissues.

People believe in the power of laughter is like similar to everyday mild workout. Eventually it also offers same benefits as a workout. Effects of laughing and exercise are almost the same. When you combine laughter and movement, like jumping or just simple waving your arm, it's a great way to boost your heart rate.

Experts in laughter research said, “It took 10 minutes on a rowing machine for his heart rate to reach the level it would after just one minute of hearty laughter. “

Laughter seems to burn fats and calories too. According to Maciej Buchowski a researcher from the University of Vanderbil, conducted a study in which he measured the amount of calories expended in laughing. It turned out that 10-15 minutes of laughter burned 50 calories.

In the past years, scientists made a study on the effects of laughter on the body and lead to interesting points on the blood flow, immune response, sugar levels on the blood and lastly relaxation.

Laughter is a social thing and any health benefits do not really comes from itself but might really come from family and friend affection. Studies have shown the people who are always binding with other people tend to laugh more often than people who are alone.

Laughing more could make one really healthy but practitioners would not want people to start laughing just to avoid dying because soon they'll be disappointed. Laughing being with friends and family makes us happy and can make us feel better and give us the energy of life we need. Reading quality joke books and humor booklets are good source of laughing. Engaging yourself to the current political jokes in your country and sit down and read your famous comedian jokes are enough means to make yourself laugh.

I believe that whether laughing does not cure human ailments and makes health better it is undeniably makes one happy. “I'm just stressing that if one enjoys laughing, isn't that enough reason to laugh? Do we still need any medical prescription?
