CANCUN JOBS: Here are two MORE job possibilities …

In the last article we talked about language schools and institutes. This article features Bi-lingual schools, Pre-Schools, Primary, Secondary and university-prep schools which heavily accent English in their programs and are earnestly seeking native-speaking English teachers for English and other classes. There are a considerable number of them due to the influence of tourism as the principal area industry. So, polish up your resume, apostil your diplomas and dive right in.

Colegio J. Lancaster
Avenida Palenque No. 20 S. M. 27 Cancún
884 – 7558

A kindergarten – primary school that features English, they are always looking for experienced, native-speaking teachers for staff positions. It’s a small school with an intimate atmosphere and wonderfully playful students who’ll absolutely delight you. Call for an appointment and stop by to check out the school and its facilities.

Instituto Summerhill
Avenida Lopez Portillo No. 648 MZ, 14 S. M 60
(two blocks from the Camara de Comercio – Chamber of Commerce) Cancun
887 - 0404

Another school for very young students that strongly features English in its kindergarten – primary school programs and will take on experienced, native-speaking teachers. This is a mid-sized school with decent facilities allowing you to use multi-media and audio-visual resources as part of your teaching on a regular basis. A university degree in education or a related field, teaching credentials and some practical experience are qualifications sought, but a generous dose of enthusiasm (and some persistence) likewise go a long way towards landing a position.
