Inspiring Ideas for Wedding Decor

It is easy to say, “I want my wedding decor to look unique”, but hard to put those words into reality. To make your wedding decor chic, elegant and one-of-a-kind, you have to be creative and bold enough to try something new and fresh. If you are game, we show you how.

Swap fresh flowers for potted plants

Fresh flowers are part and parcel of any wedding. Why not do it differently? Instead of fresh flowers use potted plants. The greenery trend is in vogue, and the guests will appreciate the minimalist look. You can use teeny tiny succulents as reception place cards and have towering trees at the ceremony space. They will give a dramatic feel to the entire ceremony.

Line your ceremony aisle

Ceremony aisles are usually decorated with fresh flowers. Instead, line it with potted plants. You can also decorate the beginning of the aisle with dramatic planters. You can use decorative urns for the purpose. The urns will look great in the ceremony aisle as well.

Altar centerpiece

Instead of having too many small flower arrangements, one large, gorgeous arrangement can be used as the focal point to your ceremony. It will look great, especially if the ceremony is happening in a church. You can even add candles into the floral arrangement on the altar, and the effect will be truly stunning.

Flower wall

Flower walls are a great way to decorate a wedding reception stage as they will look gorgeous in the wedding photos. When using floral walls, remember to dress up the wall in a neutral fabric, like cream or powder pink, and then hang the flower garlands. A floral wall makes the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom to exchange their vows, too.

Decorate your dinner tables

For a simpler, chic yet entirely romantic vibe, use succulents of all different types nestled in with tea lights and lanterns. Potted hydrangeas and even ferns will look stunning on tables. They won’t obstruct the view across the table, too. If you want to give your dinner tables a flamboyant look, try potted trees as centrepieces on long tables.

Floral chandelier

A gorgeous floral chandelier in lush blossoms makes a perfect addition for a ceremony hall or room with high ceilings. Make the floral chandelier circular and big enough for the bride and groom to stand within.

Fruit bowl centrepiece

Your centrepiece can be simple yet elegant with a country vibe. You can achieve this look by using fruits as centrepieces. However, by placing a few apples and pears on a cake stand will not look great. Try mixing spray-painted fruits as well as fruits embellished with sequins for a more interesting look.

Mix fresh fruits and flowers

You can make an arrangement using fresh flowers and fruits. Use a pineapple as a vase and display colourful flowers in it. Take a transparent bowl, fill it will lemon slices and display any fresh flowers in it. You can also use a few fresh fruits in a floral arrangement.
