Oven cleaning has to be one of the hardest if not the hardest things to clean properly without using strong chemicals. However, I would like to share a very effective natural and non-toxic oven cleaning solution for you to try in your home. All you need is baking soda and a small bit of elbow grease!

Oven Cleaning at Home

Ovens get really dirty very fast, and the dirt is not that easy to come off at all. Most of the time if you use your oven at least once or twice a week you will have grease and food stuck to your oven’s bottom and the rack. And the longer the dirt stays there the harder it becomes to come off.

Now, can you imagine trying to clean off all that burnt food and grease off the oven without using a highly toxic chemical which more than likely ends up in your food? Now, unless you can get your hands on some industry approved non-toxic oven cleaning products like a professional cleaner company would, your best bet is to try the baking soda method!

That’s right you read it correct, simple baking soda has proved itself as an exceptionally effective oven cleaning product. All you have to do is spray water all over the inside of the oven using a spray cap bottle to moisten all the dirt you want to clean. You want to do this when the oven is cooled down and turned off by the way.

Once you sprayed your water, you want to cover all the dirt with a thick layer of baking soda. I recommend at least a centimeter-thick layer of soda paste. Once you done this, leave the oven be for a few hours and let the soda do its magic!

On your return, simply wipe off all the residue with a paper cloth until everything comes off. If there is any grime left on the oven you may have to do another round of soda solution just like we did before, but it does eventually come off fully. But hey, no chemicals involved at all it’s worth it right?

Also, make sure you get all the soda off the inside of your oven because if you don’t you may find that the soda residue produces some light smoking. We shouldn’t have that if we clean out the residue thoroughly.

If this looks like too much work for you, you can always find a local oven cleaning company near you who can do it for you like these guys, oven cleaning Dublin .
