It was in the 1970's that nutritionists started to discover the nutritional benefits of olives. However even before that, the Mediterranean people made use of olive oil on their skin. They discovered that it made their skin smooth and soft. If you are already on a skincare treatment, then its addition is only going to enhance the results and even speed it up. It is a wonderful natural moisturizer as it is full of antioxidants as well as vitamins. Antioxidants protect your cells from any harm by free radicals. This keeps your skin from getting old and removes the wrinkles, too.

When it is applied on your skin, it forms a layer of moisture. This protects your skin from external irritants and keeps your skin soft, as well.

Your skin has squalene which is important in oxygenating as well as nourishing your cells. Olive oil also contains squalene. Therefore, when it is applied over the skin, additional squalene is provided which helps in better oxygenating.

There are many grades of olive oil products, each of which has special properties. Extra virgin is the highest grade of olive oil. This is well-known for its soothing nature. It has vitamin E.

Olive oil is used in many natural remedies which you can make at home. It is also used by companies that make skincare creams as well as lotions because of its moisturizing properties.

Olive oil has a number of useful skincare properties which has made it a popular product among people.

Olive Oil Skin Care
•As it is an antioxidant, it helps to protect the skin from the harmful action of free radicals, delaying aging of the skin.
•It is also used as a moisturizer to keep the skin supple, hydrated and smooth. Try this mask at home: mix the oil with an egg yolk as well as some honey. Put this mixture over your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Clean it with warm water.
•It can be used as a tonic for the hair, to add luster and to keep it nourished. Try this fantastic hair mask: mix olive oil with two eggs. Apply it over the hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash normally.
•Very good for the hands. Mix some sugar to two spoons of this oil. Rub your hands with it and clean with warm water.
•Makes your nails stronger. Soak your nails in lemon juice and olive oil for 5 minutes. You can leave it overnight; however you must use gloves to cover.
•If your mascara is dry put one or two drops of oil in it.
•It can be used for body massage and can be added to the bath or to your everyday skin care product.

Olive oil & skin care go hand in hand. When incorporated it into your everyday beauty routine, will help you to stay away from aging skin, enhance skin tone and nourish the skin. So, what are you waiting for? Buy the best olive oil in India, Today!!
