They cannot be avoided as there is no known cause for them but they can be removed effectively and efficiently. Having them removed will make everyday life easier as they will not get caught on clothing or jewelry. These raised up bumps are often black or dark brown in appearance and can even have the same appearance as a malignant bump. All lumps that look conspicuous and that appear to be changing in size and color should be examined by a physician to ensure that they are benign Seborrheic keratosis lumps rather than malignant bumps.

Seborrheic keratosis can be treated effectively by a physician and permanently removed. These unsightly lesions should be removed if they are hindering movement, jewelry positioning, itching for causing embarrassment.
