For a unique road trip, Maryland offers a lot and is relatively undiscovered. Maryland RV parks range in quality, but here are some of the better ones.

Places to Stay in Maryland in Your RV

Maryland is home to many different types of vacation. If you are a city lover, look no further than our nation's capital: Washington DC, which borders the state. If you enjoy the beauty of the water and coastline, you can find your favorite spot along the beaches of the Chesapeake Bay – or even stay in the largest city in Maryland, Baltimore. Inland, you'll also find many different areas of nature that are just waiting to be explored. An RV trip to Maryland means that you can enjoy all sorts of vacation activities in just one area.

Of course, one can't visit Maryland and not enjoy the delicious seafood that is prepared here. Maryland crabs (in all of their forms) are a delicacy that should not be missed. Staying along the coastline in one of the Maryland RV overnight stops can assure that you will always be close to the fresh seafood of the area, as well as being able to enjoy the beaches and water sporting excitement of the many coastal towns and cities.

One such city is Ocean City – which is actually located in the only county in Maryland that is considered “ocean front”. This area is dotted with many historical bed and breakfast type accommodations, but you can also find areas nearby that are perfect for your RV stay. The Bali Hi RV Park, located just six miles from the ocean, is a perfect place to enjoy your coastal Maryland stay. This RV park is owned by a co-op, but many of the owners choose to rent out their lots when they aren't using them. Different sites have different amenities, but all have electric and water hookup, and most have patios and other items that make them unique. Purchasing a lot here is also available.

Another one of the Maryland RV overnight stops located in the ocean coastal area of the state is the Treasure Beach RV Park, located close to Ocean City in the town of Fenwick, Maryland. There are many amenities available at this very family friendly RV park, including a laundry, gift shop, cable TV, public beach, bathhouses, a dump station and many seasonal events held nearby. Swimming pools, fishing and a recreation center also make this park perfect for families with children.

Staying at one of the Maryland RV overnight destinations on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean can be a fun and relaxing time for the whole family. A great summer trip for you and your loved ones, made much more affordable by using your RV.
